HIS Foundation
HIS is also establishing their own HIS Foundation in memory of Ian’s late brother and Ranbir’s late husband, Paul Watson, who died of Burkitt’s Lymphoma, a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. Burkitt’s lymphoma is a cancer that affects the lymphatic system, and much remains to be learnt about the condition. Proceeds from the HIS Foundation will go towards research and development of therapies for this cancer, as well as directly helping sufferers of Burkitt’s lymphoma.

Professor Alan Rickinson and Professor Paul Murray are both nationally and internationally renowned scientists doing work in lymphoma at the Institute for Cancer Studies at Birmingham University. They have a particular interest in lymphomas associated with Epstein-Barr virus which is a strain found in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
