Artistry Concepts
The following photos are of Artistry Concepts Hybrid Method (ACHM tattoo) method.

The above photo indicates the pigment is not matched to existing hair colour. The colour results in this photo appear to be a purple / blue and patchy in comparison to the existing hair. On close inspection it appears the pigment might have migrated and merged together to create blocked effects in certain parts of the scalp.

The above photo indicates a lot of blood which is likely to be due to inconsistent and heavy handed pressure by the tattooist penetrating the needle too deep into the skin layers, beyond the dermal layer where the pigment should ideally be deposited.

The above photo posted in March 2009 was of a completed treatment. The hair line appears to be high and circular, there is no blend into existing hair which can lead to creating an extremely false, unnatural look and there appears to be little colour match to the existing hair colour.

A recent example of their work completed in August 2009 is shown above. We only learned about this photograph after a would-be client of Artistry Concepts saw this image on the internet, and chose to have their treatment with HIS Hair Clinic instead. After reviewing the photographs his exact words were, “I could have done a better job with a fine black ballpoint pen”.
Make sure the information you obtain is true and accurate
Unfortunately we have seen evidence to suggest that those companies seeking to emulate our technique are not always honest when handing out information and advice about their services.
Below is a thread on popular hair loss forum, baldtruthtalk.com. The conversation is joined by Mark Weston, owner of Artistry Concepts, where he claims to have 20 years experience in ‘medical tattooing’.

It is worth mentioning that later in the thread when politely questioned by a potential client about the poor results achieved for a previous client, Mark reacted aggressively towards the client and refused to provide a straight answer to his question. As another forum member put it:
“So the huge dots were down to dodgy needles, i really dont know what to make of you Mark or AC, some of your results look fantastic and some not, when rightly questioned on your work you instantly try to defame Coles character, acuse him of wrongdoing with the reposted pictures and then blame your customer for being a fidget and then your tools. This doesnt inspire confidence in me.”
Mark was later banned from the forum. We are unable to show the entire thread on this page however you can read it here.
Further evidence of dishonesty came in the form of an email sent on Friday 1st May 2009 by the same Mark Weston to a prospective customer.

In his email Mark clearly states that he has only completed around 20 ‘jobs’. Bearing in mind this email was sent in May 2009, and that in the forum thread above Mark claims to have over 20 years experience in ‘medical tattooing’, somehow the numbers don’t quite add up.
If Mark is being entirely truthful that means he’s treating on average one client per year. That simply isn’t a sustainable business model, therefore we suspect that Mark has rather less experience than he says he has. Incidently the customer involved ended up having treatment with HIS Hair Clinic instead but that is another story.
A brief note to clarify our intentions…
It is not our aim to publish defamatory content on our website about our competitors, hence why you will not find negative comments about these companies anywhere else on our website. To criticise the efforts of a competitor without good cause is unprofessional and non-constructive, however as the original innovators of the MHT scalp pigmentation technique, we believe that we have a duty of care to any individual who may be considering scalp pigmentation as a solution to their hair loss problem.
Of paramount importance is ensuring that existing and potential clients of HIS Hair Clinic are furnished with the most accurate, comprehensive and unbiased information available to enable an informed decision to be made. The forum thread highlighted above was posted independently on a trusted hair loss forum, a discussion thread that HIS Hair Clinic did not take part in. The email excerpt shown above was taken from an actual email sent by Artistry Concepts to a real customer, and was published with the permission of the customer involved.
As with any cosmetic treatment, we strongly recommend you ask any practitioner to show you their clinically proven client records for scalp tattooing procedures. This information is necessary to establish the length of time they have been performing their treatments and the results they have achieved. We also highly recommend conducting research on the company to ensure their credentials are true and accurate by reading reviews left by existing clients.
Don’t be sold on what they say – ask to see the facts and evidence for yourself.
