Celebrities And Their Hair

Celebrities from all kinds of backgrounds have helped to transform the image of the cropped style from skinhead culture to a highly desirable, fashionable hairstyle

A concern that our clients occasionally share with us, is the requirement (for most MHT® treatments) to wear the hair short, or closely cropped. For many, especially those who have attempted to grow their hair to hide their hair loss, cutting it short may be something of a culture shock at first. Contrary to popular belief, thinning hair is made far more obvious when the hair is kept long, and the cropped style combined with an MHT® treatment, will provide a clean, modern and desirable appearance.

The short, cropped hairstyle is the most universally sported hairstyle in the world, worn by people from all walks of life, from labourers to businessmen, sportsmen to politicians.

Some of the most popular and attractive celebrities in the world have short hair. From football, tennis and basketball players to film stars and TV personalities, every facet of super-stardom includes many individuals who have chosen to wear their hair short. Celebrities such as Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Wentworth Miller, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Jason Alexander and John Malkovich have all sported the cropped hairstyle, and are amongst some of the worlds best known, most respected and most attractive celebrities.

MHT® is fully endorsed and recommended by style icon and celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan

Celebrities HairYou’re not just getting a hairstyle back. The close-cut, cropped style achieved by MHT® Scalp Pigmentation is a highly desirable look sported by some of the most handsome men in the world.

Global style icon David Beckham, a man whose every hairstyle change makes it onto the front cover of a dozen glossy magazines, has worn the cropped look.

Without doubt, the most famous hairstyle in recent years was David Beckhams mohawk crop for GQ magazine, emulated by millions in 2002. That haircut was created by Adee Phelan, a style icon who has fully endorsed the MHT® style:

“Finally there’s a product on the market that men who suffer from hair loss can relate to. Nowadays, cropped hair cuts are worn by a lot of men, so MHT® is perfect for those who want an on trend look”

Wentworth Miller, Hollywood heart throb and star of TV series Prison Break, sports the cropped style

For Wentworth, his image is very important, not just for his TV career, but for his very successful modelling career for which he is fast gaining recognition.

As with all major celebrities, Wentworth Miller receives style advice from an entourage of fashion gurus, makeup, hair and image consultants and dieticians. The cropped look is maintained because it is recognised as being not only cutting-edge, but also timeless and universally appealing.

Wentworth Millers career is going from strength to strength, and his sharp modern look has certainly helped him along the way.

Even Celebrities Lose Their Hair

Rarely will you see a blockbuster film, a gossip magazine or a television show that doesn’t feature a celebrity suffering from some form of hair loss. Unfortunately for these individuals, their very public lifestyle places them under fierce scrutiny, therefore it could be argued that hair loss is an even bigger issue for these personalities, as their enture lives are placed firmly in the public domain. Just look at the very high profile story about Andre Agassi when he was caught wearing a wig.

Further high-profile celebrities suffering from hair loss include Mel Gibson, Wayne Rooney, Graham Norton, Dara O’Briain and Phil Collins. The list is literally endless.

Ryan Giggs and hair loss

ryan-giggsRyan Giggs is one of the world’s most recognisable professional footballers, with a glittering career behind him, playing for both Manchester United and the Welsh national team.

Being very much in the public spotlight, his hair loss was never going to be easy to hide. Speculation about a possible hair loss treatment gathered pace when Giggs was spotted exiting a well known hair loss clinic, although the exact nature of his treatment remains the subject of much debate. It is believed that he may be using hair thickening shampoos and a topical lotion of some description, however these treatments alone would be insufficient to produce the results he now displays.

A possible hair transplant or hair system? We’ll probably never know. For the full post, click here.

Prince Williams style makeover

prince williamAs a member of the royal family, Prince William was from birth, destined for a life in the public eye. His battle with hair loss has been fairly well documented, however speculation reached a crescendo when he appeared on the front cover of Hello magazine, sporting an unusually full and dark head of hair.

Although it is unlikely that the heir to the throne has had any particular hair loss treatment, it is believed that the front cover image may have been helped along by hair dye, and possibly some rather over-exuberant Photoshop enhancements.

Whatever the story, what is clear is that his hair loss is obviously something he would rather conceal.
