Hair Transplant & MHT®

The fundamental concept of a hair transplant, entails the movement of hair from a part of the scalp or body, for placement in the area affected by hair loss. MHT® can compliment a hair transplant, producing outstanding results

The MHT® Micro Hair Technique provides two solutions for hair transplant clients. Firstly, MHT® provides hair transplant scar coverage, to effectively camouflage the existence of scars. Secondly, the technique can actually be combined with a hair transplant to produce a far denser, more natural appearance. Sash (below) combined a hair transplant procedure with the MHT® technique, to create a very natural look.

As our reputation has grown, we have found that more and more hair transplant patients would like to enhance their look by utilising the MHT® technique. As a result, some of the worlds most respected hair transplant clinics now refer clients to us, either prior to, or following a hair transplant procedure.

Why a hair transplant isn’t always enough

Hair transplants usually work because the hair being transplanted is more resilient than the hair that is lost, and is therefore more likely to remain on the scalp for an extended period of time.

One of the main reasons why clients are unable to create the effect they are looking for, is because they have insufficient donor hair to cover the balding area. This is especially common amongst those whose scalp is predominantly bald. Furthermore, whilst a hair transplant makes an effective alopecia treatment, alopecia universalis for example, prevents any hair from being made available as donor hair.

A large proportion of hair transplant patients fall under the category of having enough donor hair for a transplant, but not enough for a perfect finish. The result is usually acceptable, however the transplanted hair may not be as dense as the patient would desire. A thin covering of transplanted hair can also mean that scars caused by hair transplant surgery are poorly concealed.

The above client came to HIS Hair Clinics, following a hair transplant conducted by a well known hair clinic. Despite having insufficient donor hair, the client decided to undergo the procedure in a bid to cover up his hair loss. You can see the result in the first photograph (above left).

After cutting his hair (above middle), we applied the MHT Micro Hair Technique as a combination treatment, to compliment his hair transplant. The benefit is obvious from the final photograph (above right). He now appears to have a far thicker head of hair, and is now much happier as a result.

Rafael (above) was dissatisfied with his hair coverage after his hair transplant. Using the MHT® technique, we were able to provide Rafael with a thicker, denser style, and the defined hairline he always wanted.

Jazz (above) is also a good example of a transplant procedure involving insufficient donor hair. The MHT® technique created a thicker, fuller, more natural hairstyle, and has enabled Jazz to live a much happier, more confident life.
