The images above show how the MHT Micro Hair Technique is applied, to effectively camouflage scars caused by hair transplant surgery. In the first image (left), the scar is clearly visible through the clients hair. Contrary to popular belief, the shorter your hair, the better a scar is camouflaged.

This is demonstrated by the second image (middle). The scar has been treated using the MHT technique, however the scar is still clearly visible in the area of scalp which has not been shaved. The benefits of keeping your hair short following an MHT procedure are made obvious by this example.

Finally, the third image (right) shows the recommended hairstyle for clients using MHT to camouflage a hair transplant scar. By comparing the first image with the third, it is easy to understand why our scar camouflage techniques are so popular.

It is worth mentioning that the results shown above, were taken following just one MHT session. A significant improvement can already be seen, and has enabled our client to confidently wear his hair shorter. Further improvements will be made during the second session to fully disguise the hair transplant scar.  Furthermore, we have also treated his thinning crown area to make his hair appear more dense.

Our MHTâ„¢ scalp pigmentation treatment successfully camouflages a hair transplant scar allowing men to be able to cut any remaining hair very short without worrying about their scars being exposed or visually noticeable.

Traditional hair transplant surgery involves the removal of a strip of skin complete with the follicles from the donor area at the back of the head, leaving a continuous hair transplant scar across the back of the scalp.

MHT™ pigmentation techniques can be used to effectively camouflage these types of scars. In addition, not all individuals are suitable for a hair transplants as participants require sufficient donor hair from the back of their head. Used in conjunction with MHT™, less donor hair is required, meaning more people could potentially become suitable for a hair transplant treatment if they desire.

Although developments in treatments such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) leave minimal scarring, it is not always possible to achieve a look of dense hair. MHT™ effectively changes the colour of the scalp, making it look darker and therefore a closer colour to the client’s hair, providing the illusion of thicker, fuller hair.

callum hair transplant scar

Like most clients, Callum (above) was left with a hair transplant scar following a routine procedure. The MHT technique has enabled Callum to hide his scar, and now feels much happier, as people are now far less likely to find out about his surgery.

warren hair transplant scar

Warren (above) was left with a deep hair transplant scar after his surgery. Following his MHT camouflage treatment, the scar is now much less obvious.
