Scalp micropigmentation FAQs
Scalp micro pigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive, detailed and permanent hair loss solution which is relatively pain-free. The procedure itself simply involves natural pigments being deposited into the dermal layer of the scalp by needle micro-insertion. The end result is an immediate and natural illusion of micro-hairs.

Do you have to shave your head to have SMP?
Not necessarily, SMP can also be used to disguise thinning areas and by having some hair growth on your scalp already, the aesthetician can fill in uneven patches to make the scalp hair look more dense and thick.
How long does the procedure take?
Most clinics will carry out the SMP treatment procedures over a minimum of three sessions when the client is mainly bald. The first session will require deposition of lighter pigments, the second will use darker pigments to add density and build a natural hairline. The last session will be focused on completing a natural and highly detailed overall appearance.
