The story of SMP since then has been a remarkable one. The treatment is available around the world with HIS Hair clinics opening regularly. Copycats have become common, some good but the majority as part of the wave of fast growing franchises based on aggressive marketing and precious little else.
With that exponential growth has come a divergence in the quality available. So that someone researching SMP now will find truly terrible pictures of the victims of some of these sub par clinics. It has, unfortunately, introduced an element of mistrust in the treatment itself… unfortunate because it implies that Scalp Micropigmentation has an element of the outcome being less than certain. Not only is that not true but it undermines confidence in what is a profoundly life-changing experience for many.

In the diamond hard world of advertising there is little or no room for sentiment, when a casting director looks for an individual to represent their brand in an advert the preference, if the budget allows, is for a Hollywood A-Lister. If the budget does not extend to a Brad Pitt then the chosen individual needs to encapsulate the brand perfectly – So when the brand in question is “the world’s coolest suit” and the individual is to be shot in a variety of the worlds hottest locations (the Arabian desert, Death Valley.. you get the idea) looking super cool, it stands to reason that the individual will need to be the kind of guy that men watching will think is so cool they would like to mimic him.
Needless to say that when one of our clients was cast in the role we were delighted. It must be as near as an SMP clinic can get to winning an Oscar for our work.
