We take a closer look at the aesthetic treatments available from HIS Hair Clinic’s newest partner, Dr. Camilla Hill.
Dr Camilla Hill
Dr. Hill has been a medical professional for 27years, ever since graduating from Birmingham Medical School. Much of that time was spent on the coal-face as a GP. More recently she qualified as an aesthetics doctor and opened her own clinic. Her background as a GP perfectly prepared her for her current role as an aesthetic doctor, though she does still work as a consultant for BUPA.
The first difference you will notice when you call in is that you are straight through and talking to the Dr. What she calls optimal privacy extends to that initial contact, apart from some more complex procedures, where the presence of a qualified nurse is needed as support, you will only ever deal with Dr. Hill. Your appointment will be set sensitively with respect to the appointments before and after your own – to avoid, as far as possible, any chance of overlap.
So your personal consultation is just that, a chance for you to ask all your questions and to receive the expert assessment of a medical professional. Following that assessment a treatment programme will be devised. For some this consists of nothing more than reassurance that your condition is not yet worthy of medical intervention. For others one or more of the treatments available will be recommended and discussed in detail. Some involve the use of needles and this can be a serious concern to many.. but it is one that is worked around all the time and there is no need for anxiety.
A trusted treatment that has been available for over 40 years to address problems such as squints and muscle spasms. Today it being is also being used to treat some bladder and oesophagus issues.
Applied under the skin of the affected area it can provide a substantial improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and lines that lasts up to 3 or 4 months. The same treatment can also be used to lift the eyebrows, a remarkably transforming procedure that can take years off you. Maybe it’s most impressive work is done on the jawline, where it can be deployed to allow the muscles of your face to pull that skin upwards.. and so reduce any issues with jowls. Applied lower down it can be used to tighten the skin of the neck… these treatments are generally described as non-surgical lifts.
As the name suggests this treatment is aimed at rejuvenating skin. The filler is made from hyaluronic acid – HA. HA is naturally occurring in the body and so completely safe. Slightly different variations of the filler are used to fill and define lips, augment cheeks and smooth out wrinkles around the mouth. Dermal fillers can also be used in conjunction with ani wrinkle injections to lift the brow, where they add considerably to the longevity but also provide a near instant improvent. Once in position the HA will attract water which in turn adds to the rejuvenative effect. Editors note: Just one of the many advantages of receiving your treatment from a medical professional is the use of local anaesthetic during the procedures.
We have some experience of this procedure, many clients with HT scars will elect to go through a course of dermaroller to improve their scars prior to Scalp Micropigmentation. But it’s benefits to not stop there. Scars of all sorts, including acne, can benefit. As can ageing or sun-damaged skin, it is also a great option for wrinkles on the face of all kinds. Stretch marks can be improved after as few as just two sessions.
Excessive Sweating Therapy
Also known as Hyperhidrosis this unfortunate condition affects around 1% of the population. Those affected will suffer from massively excessive sweating on a daily basis. The solutions are high strength anti-perspirants or an FDA approved injection which blocks the nerves and thus stops the sweating… it lasts for an impressive 8 months.
This curse of the playground actually affects 1% of women and a truly surprising, to us anyway, 5% of men over the age of 25. Dr. Hill provides a specially designed programme which lasts 6 months… results visible by the end of month 1.
